AZICLAND to design second-generation neuromorphic AI chip for BrainChip

AZICLAND said on Feb. 23 it signed a contract with BrainChip for new semiconductor design and supply. The project supports development of BrainChip’s second-generation neuromorphic AI processor, AKD2500. AZICLAND plans to provide integrated services spanning ASIC design applying the customer’s neuromorphic core, wafer packaging and testing. The AKD2500 is based on BrainChip’s second-generation architecture and is optimized for ultra-low-power, high-efficiency computing.

Azicland signs 25.4 billion won mass production deal for storage

Azicland, an ASIC design solutions company, said on Thursday it signed a $17.56 million contract to mass-produce storage controllers, valued at about 25.4 billion won. The contract sets annual supply volumes in advance, with deliveries to be carried out sequentially through Dec. 31. The company said it will handle integrated support across the production cycle and will conduct mass production based on TSMC processes.
