AI hacking undermines OT security-through-obscurity strategy
The spread of AI agents has effectively ended security-through-obscurity, a strategy that relies on keeping system designs and weaknesses hidden, The Register reported. Software companies and independent researchers are using AI agents to find bugs in products and open-source code, including decades-old flaws, pushing vulnerability disclosures and patches to record levels. Experts warn risks are rising in operational technology and industrial control systems.

South Korea\'s KOSPI fell 3.26 percent on Sept. 14, dropping below 6,700 as foreign investors and institutions sold heavily. Foreigners net sold 3.2875 trillion won and institutions 1.1715 trillion won, for combined net selling of 4.4590 trillion won, while individuals bought 2.9722 trillion won. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix led losses. The won weakened to 1,346.70 per dollar. The KOSDAQ also fell.

58 percent of South Korean firms use AI, ICT and manufacturing lead advanced adoption
A survey found 58 percent of South Korean companies use artificial intelligence, up from 48 percent a year earlier. The study, commissioned by Amazon Web Services and conducted by Strand Partners, surveyed 1,000 business leaders and 1,000 members of the public. It estimated about 624,000 companies newly adopted AI over the past year. Most adopters reported productivity gains and many planned to increase AI use, while fewer had formal strategies and clear ways to measure returns.
