[DigitalToday reporter Hojeong Lee] Nexters will change its corporate name to ONE Corp.

Nexters said on Wednesday it will submit an amendment to its articles of incorporation for the name change to a special shareholders meeting to be held on Nov. 16.

The change is aimed at applying the ONE brand, which is currently used across its services including OneStore, to the company name.

Since acquiring OneStore in June, Nexters has been expanding platform businesses that combine game publishing and distribution, payments, AI and blockchain.

It is also integrating service-by-service brands under ONE. OneStore has launched global services in 122 countries by adding an "AI game" tab and the embedded wallet OnePocket, while OneStory is being run as an AI- and blockchain-based entertainment service.

Its payment service OnePay is being expanded into a global payment platform that includes stablecoins, and its blockchain infrastructure is being built around OneChain. It is also operating the web game service OnePlay.

The amendment also includes a plan to broaden the scope of its blockchain business. It plans to add to its business purposes "related service businesses including verification of blockchain networks, participation by validators, operation, management and consignment."

Nexters CEO Hyun-kuk Jang (장현국) said, "We will integrate our AI blockchain game platform under the ONE brand." He added, "We will expand and grow OneStore, which started as a homegrown app marketplace, into a global platform."
