DAXA warns of phishing posing as won-based crypto exchanges, urges caution over requests to install PC programs

South Korea’s Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) warned users about phishing websites posing as domestic won-based crypto exchanges. It said the sites are being spread through social media ads that lead users to fake pages resembling local exchanges and then prompt them to install PC-only programs by offering fee waivers and special events. DAXA said local won-based exchanges do not provide separate PC trading software and urged users to use official websites and avoid suspicious downloads.
