FSS avoids public institution designation again, review set for next year
South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service again avoided being designated a public institution this year, with the government postponing a decision and planning to review it next year. The condition for the deferral is improving public interest and transparency. The government will strengthen control by the Financial Services Commission, expand management disclosures via the ALIO system and require additional reporting, including detailed spending by the agency head and ESG items.
