Nokia says AI-RAN is reality as it speeds network-AI integration
Nokia unveiled AI-RAN, AI-based network operations and next-generation optical communications technologies aimed at responding to the spread of AI services. Nokia Korea held its Amplify Korea 2026 event in Seoul, where it shared network technology and market trends for the AI era with domestic telecom operators and enterprise customers. Executives highlighted AI-driven demand for intelligent, scalable and automated networks and demonstrated optical networking for AI data centres and cloud connections.

Multimode optimisation key to enterprise IT automation gains
Companies are adopting automation to improve IT operations but often find management becoming more complex, Red Hat Korea executive Lee Min-sung (이민성) said. He said adding tools alone has limits and argued firms should optimise automation strategies for different workloads. Lee presented multimode automation that combines task-based, event-driven and agentic AI-driven approaches. He said integration challenges and fragmentation can blunt benefits, and stressed governance and an automation layer for AI-driven execution.

SK AX expands AI talent training beyond capital region
SK AX is recruiting participants until May 13 for the fourth cohort of SKALA, a job-linked practical training programme run as a five-month, full-day offline course. SKALA began in 2024. A total of 194 trainees from the first and second cohorts have completed the programme, and more than 80 percent of them found jobs at major companies including SK Group, SK AX said. The fourth cohort will expand training locations to Gwangju and Ulsan.
