AI and data infrastructure solutions company HS Hyosung Information System is accelerating efforts to target the market for running enterprise AI services, based on an AI inference infrastructure that combines the low-power Arm server GreenCore and neural processing units (NPUs).
GreenCore, jointly developed by HS Hyosung Information System and South Korean Arm server manufacturer Access Lab, is based on Arm-architecture CPUs and supports low power use, low heat and many-core parallel processing.
The company stressed it could be an effective option not only for data centres with limited power, cooling and rack space, but also for companies and institutions preparing on-premises AI services in consideration of security and data sovereignty.
HS Hyosung Information System supports the entire process of adopting AI inference infrastructure, from analysing customer workloads to selecting NPUs, configuring GreenCore servers, integrated validation, linking AI solutions, proof of concept, and deployment and operation. It plans to continue strengthening its 'HS Hyosung AI Platform' portfolio by combining Arm servers with GPUs, NPUs, high-performance storage, data lakes, AIOps and an ecosystem of AI solution partners to support customers from AI adoption to stable operation and expansion.
Yang Jeong-gyu (양정규), CEO of HS Hyosung Information System, said the focus of AI competitiveness is shifting beyond model development to how stably and efficiently AI is operated in real business environments. He said HS Hyosung Information System will support customers in quickly implementing AI services suited to their workloads while considering constraints on costs, power and space, through high-efficiency inference infrastructure that combines GreenCore with a range of NPUs.
