Cowintech signs robot automation deal worth mid-30 billion won with global battery maker
Cowintech said on May 11 it signed a contract worth the mid-30 billion won range to supply a mobile robot-based automation system to a major global battery company. The contract runs through June 2027 and combines amounts from contracts for individual processes. The counterparty was not disclosed for confidentiality reasons. Cowintech will supply integrated robotics and logistics automation systems, control software and industrial articulated robots featuring 3D vision-based precision picking.

Crit Ventures invests in modular robot automation platform operator Withpoints
Crit Ventures said on Tuesday it invested 1.5 billion won in Withpoints in a pre-Series A round. The round also included FuturePlay, We Ventures and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s youth startup foundation D.CAMP, bringing total funding to 4 billion won. Withpoints develops and operates Winect, a modular robot automation platform for irregular tasks such as welding and inspection. The company plans to upgrade products and expand partners and overseas business.
