Polygon seeks up to $100 million investment, targets stablecoin payments business

Polygon Labs is negotiating to raise up to $100 million to build a stablecoin payments business, The Information reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Instead of selling Polygon tokens, it plans to sell $50 million to $100 million worth of equity in the new venture. The business aims to generate revenue from transaction fees and increase transaction volume on the Polygon blockchain, competing with Stripe, Coinbase and others.

KAIST faculty council recommends Ryu Seok-young and Bae Chung-sik as next president candidates

KAIST's faculty council selected Ryu Seok-young (류석영), a professor in the School of Computing, as its top candidate for the next president, and Bae Chung-sik (배충식), a mechanical engineering professor, as its second choice. The council held an electronic vote from April 3 to April 8, with 586 of 700 members participating. It plans to submit both as recommended candidates to the board-led selection process.

Atlassian adds AI visualisation to Confluence pages, unveils MCP-based partner agents

Atlassian has launched Remix with Rovo, an AI feature that instantly converts Confluence page content into visual assets such as charts and infographics. The tool can turn data-heavy sections into charts, process descriptions into infographics and long analyses into summaries without switching or copying to other tools, while keeping the original page intact. Atlassian is also releasing partner agents that let Rovo Chat send Confluence content directly to Lovable, Replit and Gamma.
