Hana Bank won awards in both institutional and individual categories at the Global PB Awards hosted by global finance publication PBI. In the banking category, it recorded its 15th award overall since first winning in 2012. The "Best Private Banker in Asia" award was won for a seventh straight year.
Hana Bank said on Oct. 13 it was named Best Private Bank for Innovation at the 36th PBI (Private Banker International) Global PB Awards (Global Wealth Awards 2026) held in Singapore on Oct. 8.
In the individual category, it won Regional Private Banker of the Year, which is awarded to private bankers working in Asia, for a seventh consecutive year. It also received its fifth Rising Star in Private Banking award, which recognises next-generation private bankers.
PBI cited key evaluation factors including Hana Bank’s specialised solutions by customer segment, integrated financial and non-financial wealth management services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and the provision of products and services tailored to customer demand.
Hana Bank was first named PBI’s Best PB Bank in East Asia in 2012, the first among South Korea’s commercial banks. It has won related awards 15 times in total through this year.
An official at Hana Bank’s wealth management group said, "We will continue to strengthen our integrated wealth management capabilities that span both financial and non-financial areas."
