Bespin Global reorganises around AI

Bespin Global said on Tuesday it has implemented an AI-centric reorganisation aimed at embedding AI across corporate business, from consulting and deployment to management and operations. The company created a new AI & DATA BC led by Vice President Sunho Han and assigned Vice President Daeyoung Han to oversee AI value chain and enterprise and emerging units. It also set leadership for public, AI platform and Google-focused businesses and plans to expand subscription-based recurring revenue.

EU carbon border mechanism rolls out; government to strengthen response system

South Korea is moving to strengthen its response to the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism as it comes into full effect from Jan. 1. The industry ministry said it reviewed corporate preparations at a cross-ministry task force meeting and plans expanded outreach, briefings and training for exporters. It will also use existing programmes to help calculate emissions and reinforce domestic verification systems as validation begins next year.

Kim Young-soo says youth are new growth engine for Korean games

Culture, Sports and Tourism Vice Minister Kim Young-soo visited the Pangyo Game Academy and the Global Game Hub Center on Jan. 21 to discuss new directions for game policy with young developers. He inspected facilities and encouraged a resident company. Participants asked for an environment where young entrepreneurs can keep trying after failure, more practical office space and stronger investment support. Game users said transparency has improved but remedies for harm also matter.
