Samsung Electronics unveiled new 2026 TV and monitor products in Sydney, Australia. Samsung Electronics held its "2026 Australia Tech Seminar" and showcased its overall 2026 screen lineup, from Micro RGB TVs to OLED TVs and Odyssey gaming monitors, the company said on Thursday. The Samsung Electronics tech seminar is an event that introduces video and audio technologies to global experts and has been held annually since 2012.
Samsung Electronics applied AI functions across its 2026 TVs. "Vision AI Companion" analyses a user's viewing environment and content and adjusts picture and sound quality. It also demonstrated an "AI Soccer Mode." The feature uses AI to analyse soccer scenes in real time to adjust colour and motion and deliver crowd cheers and commentary sound.
Samsung's 2026 OLED TV (S95H) applies "HDR10+ Advanced," a next-generation HDR standard, for the first time in the industry. The technology uses AI to adjust screen brightness, colour, contrast ratio and motion processing in real time. The product also includes burn-in prevention technology for the first time in a Samsung OLED TV, reducing afterimages during long viewing, the company said. It also held a demonstration comparing picture quality differences with existing products.
Samsung Electronics also introduced its Micro RGB TV at the event. It includes a "Micro RGB AI Engine" to adjust colour and contrast, and it delivers consistent colour regardless of brightness conditions through "Micro RGB Color Booster Pro" and "Micro RGB HDR Pro," the company said. It also introduced "Glare Free" technology designed with Australia's bright natural light environment in mind. The technology reduces light reflections so the screen can be viewed even during daytime.
The company also unveiled new gaming monitor models. "Odyssey 3D" uses eye tracking and view mapping technologies to analyse a user's gaze and deliver a 3D effect without glasses. "Odyssey G8 (G80HS)" supports 6K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, a first for gaming monitors. "Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH)" features fast response speed and deep contrast.
Lee Heon (이헌), a vice president at Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said the company is expanding the "AI TV era" in earnest by innovating overall picture quality and user experience based on AI technology. He said it will continue to develop a user-centred viewing environment through differentiated AI screen experiences.
