Liner launches Scholar academic research service
Global AI agent startup Liner said on Jan. 28 it launched Liner Scholar, a standalone AI service designed for research based on worldwide academic knowledge. The service embeds a database of 460 million academic records and is positioned as an “AI co-researcher” that interacts with researchers in real time. It offers agentic research functions, integrates tools such as hypothesis generation and citation recommendations, and supports Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese.

SKT builds ESG data platform to integrate and manage 280 data points
SK Telecom said on Tuesday it has built an ESG data integration platform to strengthen the transparency and reliability of ESG data. The company said the platform supports reporting aligned with global disclosure standards such as GRI and prepares it to respond proactively to domestic mandatory ESG disclosures under KSSB. The system integrates about 280 ESG-related data points, automates collection of about 50 percent of ESG data, and uses AI-based tools to respond in real time to inquiries.

Texas Instruments shares rise as outlook boost lifts analog chip recovery hopes
Texas Instruments raised its first-quarter earnings and revenue outlook, pointing to a possible recovery in the analog chip market, SiliconANGLE reported on Tuesday. Although the chipmaker missed Wall Street expectations for fourth-quarter earnings per share and revenue, investors focused on the improving outlook and sent the stock up more than 9 percent. CEO Haviv Ilan said orders rose steadily and customers were starting to buy again after working down inventories.
