SKT opens preorders for ZEM Phone Pocket Peace
SK Telecom is taking online preorders for its new kids’ smartphone, the ZEM Phone Pocket Peace, through Dec 11. The LTE device, based on Samsung’s Galaxy A17, launches on Dec 12 and includes themed content, accessories and safety features via the ZEM app. Users receive learning apps for English and current affairs for six months at no cost. Early buyers through T Direct Shop can receive gift vouchers and children’s gift items.

Apple seen preparing new products for January 2026
A report suggests Apple may roll out several new devices in early 2026, possibly as soon as January. Expected products include 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and Max chips, a new 12.9-inch low-cost MacBook using an A18 Pro chip, and an upgraded iPad with an A18 chip. Apple is also preparing the iPhone 17e, which may share the A19 chip with the iPhone 17. Additional products could follow in the same period.

KT nears shortlist disclosure for next CEO, online interviews on Dec 9
KT’s CEO selection process has entered its latter stage with seven candidates remaining. The board’s nominating committee will hold online interviews on Dec. 9 and may reveal a shortlist of three to four candidates afterward. The company reduced the field from 33 to 16 and then to seven. The board is expected to choose a final candidate on Dec. 16 for recommendation to the annual shareholders meeting in March 2026.
