Coupang rejects CCEJ 'revolving-door cartel' claim, calls announcement discriminatory

Coupang rejected allegations by the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice that it formed a revolving-door cartel by hiring many former officials and said the proportion of such hires was low relative to its overall hiring. The group said it filed for a public-interest audit and criticised employment-screening systems for retirees, citing high approval rates in reviews of former lawmakers’ staff and government officials. Coupang questioned the probe’s fairness and reliability.

Utilize coalition launches to cut U.S. power bills by boosting grid use

A new industry coalition, Utilize, has launched with the goal of cutting electricity rates by improving low utilisation of the U.S. power grid. The coalition includes Tesla and Google as well as Carrier, Sparkfund, SPAN, Verrus and Renew Home. It argues the grid is built for extreme peaks but remains underused most of the time, leaving consumers paying higher kilowatt-hour rates than necessary. It estimates tens of billions of dollars in potential savings.
