AI translates 25 years of news in 100 countries, summarises 3,100-page bill in big data test

The GDELT Project, which collects and analyses global news and social data in real time, is disclosing experiments using AI to process large volumes of news and policy documents. It continuously gathers content in more than 100 languages and updates key datasets about events, relationships and images about every 15 minutes. GDELT also runs a platform translating news written in 65 languages. Recent tests include extracting leadership-change announcements and converting a 3,100-page U.S. bill into an infographic.

Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro rated best for Galaxy phone users

Samsung Electronics' latest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, have been rated as optimised for Galaxy smartphone users. The Verge said the earbuds deliver the best experience when used with Samsung devices. The model adds an upgraded woofer and dual-amp hi-fi sound, a new blade design, improved active noise cancelling and better call performance. Several features are enabled only with Galaxy devices, while non-Galaxy users may face limits.

MSIT says supplementary budget boosts security capabilities of regional SMEs

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said on March 16 it supported efforts to strengthen the security capabilities of regional and small and medium-sized companies using the second supplementary budget for 2025, together with KISA and KISIA. It said it provided free vulnerability checks for 2,242 firms, consulting and analysis reports, and emergency training attended by 757 people from 567 companies. It also developed a web-based security investment guide to be provided in the second quarter.
