Korbit runs digital asset donation campaign with Save the Children

Korbit said on Tuesday it will run a second digital asset donation campaign with international children's rights NGO Save the Children. The campaign, an extension of a memorandum of understanding between the two, runs for about three months through June 30. It expands support to a programme helping families with children facing financial hardship due to sudden crises. Donations will be accepted in Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Tether and USD Coin.

Korea Media Communications Committee holds public meeting on universal viewing rights for North America World Cup broadcasts

The Korea Media Communications Committee said on Tuesday it will hold a public meeting on March 20 in Seoul to discuss North America World Cup broadcasts and improvements to the universal viewing rights system. The meeting follows growing debate after the Milan Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics was aired exclusively on a pay-TV channel. It comes as negotiations among broadcasters over World Cup rights face difficulties.

100-dollar oil era may hit petrol car drivers with five times the cost burden of EV users

An analysis says electric vehicles could sharply reduce the cost shock for drivers as oil prices rise amid Middle East tensions. Europe’s Transport & Environment said that if oil stays above $100 a barrel, petrol car drivers in Europe could face up to five times the cost burden of EV users. It projected petrol costs at 14.2 euros per 100 km versus 6.5 euros for EVs, and said EVs are structurally less exposed to oil price swings.
