Curve Finance warns PancakeSwap over alleged code theft, says proper licensing needed
Curve Finance has alleged that PancakeSwap used its code without authorisation, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. Curve said PancakeSwap copied the StableSwap code used for swapping stablecoins and pegged assets in its latest decentralised exchange version, PancakeSwap Infinity. Curve said PancakeSwap should go through proper licensing procedures. PancakeSwap said it would consult with Curve, and discussions are ongoing.

After Microsoft, Google to keep providing Anthropic AI outside defense projects
Google will continue providing Anthropic’s AI technology in areas excluding defense-related projects, following the U.S. Department of Defense’s designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk. A Google spokesperson said the decision does not block cooperation with Anthropic outside defense projects and that Anthropic products will keep being offered through Google Cloud. Amazon, the top cloud provider, has not issued an official stance. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said legal action is under review.

Bitcoin slides after touching $70,000 on short liquidations and profit-taking
The crypto market is holding to a wait-and-see tone after a short-term jump. Bitcoin was last at $68,139, down 0.1 percent on the day, with market dominance at 58.55 percent. Ether fell 0.41 percent to $1,977, while XRP and Solana also slipped. The pullback is attributed to quick profit-taking after a surge sparked by short liquidations, with macro factors still seen as a burden.
