Toss Bank CEO Lee Eun-mi pledges to build trust by strengthening fundamentals
Toss Bank said on Tuesday its annual general meeting of shareholders and board approved the reappointment of Chief Executive Officer Lee Eun-mi. Lee will lead the bank for two years from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2028. She plans to focus on strengthening customer protection and internal controls, advancing AI and data-based capabilities to accelerate digital banking innovation, and diversifying the loan and deposit portfolio while expanding non-interest income sources.

Woori Bank launches three financial products for T1 fans
Woori Bank has launched three "Woori T-WON" products as the main partner of the League of Legends Champions Korea and an official sponsor of T1. The Woori T-WON savings plan allows up to three accounts per person and daily deposits of 1,000 to 30,000 won for 100 days, with a cap of 50,000 accounts. It offers a base annual rate of 2.6 percent and up to 6.6 percent with preferential rates. The bank and Woori Card are also holding promotional events.

Kosdaq surges after KOSPI, buy-sidecar triggered
Kosdaq surged on Tuesday, prompting the Korea Exchange to trigger a buy-sidecar halt on program buy orders, following a similar move on the KOSPI. The exchange said the effectiveness of program buy bids was suspended for 5 minutes at about 2:08:51 p.m. due to moves in the Kosdaq 150 futures price and the Kosdaq 150 index. The Kosdaq buy-sidecar was last triggered on March 6.
