KCA says satisfaction with electromagnetic field meter rental service hits 90.6 percent

Korea Communications Agency said on Jan. 28 that a satisfaction survey of users of its electromagnetic field meter rental service showed more than 90 percent of respondents were satisfied. The online survey ran from last month’s Jan. 8 to 26 and drew 968 responses. It said users’ perceived safety level improved from 49.1 points to 77.1 points. It added 96.0 percent said they would recommend the service.

Science ministry and SMEs ministry hold briefing for startups to avoid confusion over AI Basic Law

South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT held an “AI Startup Growth Strategy Briefing” with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on Jan. 28 in Seoul to share key provisions of the AI Basic Law with AI startups. The ministries also explained related legislation and support programmes, including AI Challenge and Deep Tech Challenge Project. Officials said they would operate the law to avoid hindering innovation and strengthen communication with startups.

KT runs AICE training to boost teachers' AI capabilities

KT provided AI capability-building training for public school teachers, running an AICE programme for 220 elementary, middle and high school educators at its KT Pangyo Building AI Campus from Jan. 13 to 28. AICE is an AI competency certification test designed and operated by KT that verifies AI understanding and practical use by level. The course split curricula by ability, emphasised hands-on practice and offered exam opportunities.
