Strategy may resume buying bitcoin after a two-month pause.

On Aug. 30, Cointelegraph reported that Chairman Michael Saylor (마이클 세일러), who leads the company, posted a short phrase on X, formerly Twitter, saying, "We're back".

The market is viewing the post as more than a simple message. Saylor has repeatedly followed a pattern of posting suggestive messages on weekends, then releasing a company announcement on bitcoin purchases around Monday morning. If that precedent continues, the remark could be interpreted as a signal that Strategy is restarting its corporate accumulation of bitcoin.

Over the past two months, Strategy stopped its regular weekly bitcoin purchases and focused on strengthening its balance sheet. During that period, it stabilised the issuance of preferred shares and secured $5.1 billion in dollar reserves. It also set up a separate cash pool worth $1.59 billion through a large common stock offering.

That adjustment phase overlapped with a period when bitcoin prices were increasing the burden. At the time, Strategy's large bitcoin holdings were in a book valuation loss zone. But bitcoin, amid recent macro trends, at one point rose above $80,000 and is now above $78,000.

The profit-and-loss structure of its holdings has also changed. Strategy holds 844,447 bitcoin at an average purchase price of about $75,385. As bitcoin rebounded, Strategy's overall position has also moved back into a valuation gain zone.

Saylor's message was read as meaning Strategy's financial capacity could again turn toward bitcoin. It also suggested the possibility that the world's largest corporate bitcoin holding strategy could enter another expansion phase.

Ultimately, the key point for the market remains whether this signal leads to an actual purchase disclosure. Strategy prioritised securing liquidity and reorganising its capital structure over buying bitcoin this summer, but interest is focusing on the direction of future fund deployment as the recovery in bitcoin prices has turned its holdings positive again.
