Mirae Asset Group set a goal of making Digital X the core pillar of its digital-asset business and expanding it to 150 trillion won. It plans to broaden operations centered on crypto, stablecoins, real world assets (RWA) and tokenized securities (STO), and to pursue profitability in 2027.

Mirae Asset Group said on Aug. 26 it held an event inviting Digital X employees, titled "A New Voyage Begins, Together", at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul.

All employees attended, including Park Hyun-joo (박현주), global strategist (GSO) at Mirae Asset Group, and Oh Se-jin (오세진), CEO of Digital X.

Park presented a blueprint to expand the digital-asset product lineup around four pillars: crypto, stablecoins, RWA and STO. It also plans to push the digitalisation of various real assets including gold, silver and electricity.

Park said, "We will make Digital X the core pillar of 'Mirae Asset 3.0' and, based on the group’s 1,500 trillion won in client assets, our first goal is to grow the digital-asset segment to 150 trillion won and achieve profitability in 2027."

The group is also moving to build a blockchain-based on-chain finance ecosystem. It plans to find new financial products and services using digital assets and strengthen business competitiveness through principal investment (PI).

Park said, "We must have an eye for the future and prepare ahead of time for new changes," and added, "Please become creative talent that does not remain within a fixed framework and continually finds new possibilities."

The event also included a ceremony to present Mirae Asset Group badges to Digital X employees.

Mirae Asset Group plans to speed up efforts to build a 'global integrated platform' centered on Digital X to connect traditional assets and digital assets.
