[Digital Today reporter Yoonseo Lee] Cryptocurrency exchange Binance will end seven spot trading pairs, including Litecoin (LTC) and Sui (SUI), on Aug. 21 (local time).

Blockchain media outlet U.Today reported on Aug. 19 that the move followed the results of a regular review of all listed spot trading pairs.

The spot trading pairs to be delisted are F/USDC, HIVE/USDC, ILV/USDC, LTC/BNB, NMR/USDC, STEEM/USDC and SUI/BNB. Litecoin and Sui will be removed from the BNB market, while the remaining tokens will be removed from the USDC market.

Binance explained that the move does not mean it is halting spot trading support for individual tokens. The exchange said delisting spot trading pairs does not affect whether the tokens themselves can use Binance spot services, and users can continue trading the base and quote assets in other trading pairs that remain on Binance.

Margin trading pairs will also be removed on the same day. For cross margin, the pairs are AUCTION/USDC, BEAMX/USDC, CETUS/USDC, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, NXPC/USDC, UMA/USDC and VELODROME/USDC. For isolated margin, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC and NXPC/USDC are slated for removal.

Other operational measures scheduled for August were also announced. Binance will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of related tokens on Aug. 24 to support the Conflux Network (CFX) upgrade and hard fork. The exchange said it is taking the step to ensure user experience.

A BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) wallet inspection is also scheduled. Binance will conduct wallet maintenance on Aug. 20 and will halt deposits and withdrawals on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) from just before the inspection begins. The maintenance is expected to last about 1 hour.

Binance will also end support for deposits and withdrawals on Sophon (SOPH)'s BNB Smart Chain network on Aug. 21. Around Aug. 21, Binance users are expected to check schedules for spot trading pair endings, margin pair removals and network-by-network deposit and withdrawal restrictions.

The measures are an example of adjusting trading-pair removals and network operating schedules at the same time. Binance is refining the scope of service operations by managing trade quality alongside wallet and network maintenance.
