AI cloud specialist Clion said on Thursday it has appointed Kim Joo-sung (김주성), former CSO of GaonI’s strategic business division, as chief executive officer and president.
Kim, the new CEO and president, worked for about 28 years at KT and KT Cloud, handling cloud business planning and strategy, technology development and sales.
Clion plans to foster AX as a core growth engine by combining its existing capabilities in cloud deployment and migration with generative AI and AI agent technology.
Clion said it has won major local government AX projects this year, following 2025, including building Gangwon Province’s “AI Safety Support Service for Small Business Owners” and Seoul’s “Administrative Support AI Agent” project. Based on that, it is expanding a range of AI, cloud and AX projects for the central government and local governments. It plans to sequentially launch AX solutions such as REX, a RAG performance and quality monitoring solution, and KXHUB, a multi-LLM operations management solution, to shift its revenue structure from deployment-focused projects toward solutions and services.
It plans to secure the financial foundation and growth momentum needed for business expansion through a strategic investment now in its final stage, and use that to accelerate new market development and expansion of its business portfolio.
