Inswave, an AI and DX-focused company, said on Sunday it signed an on-site pilot MOU with the Amsa General Market and Soonheon Hwanggu-bi-gil merchant associations for a gift certificate rights verification platform, as it seeks to expand its digital asset business, which it is fostering as a new business.
Inswave will provide support and technical infrastructure for digital technology trials for small merchants. It will review providing priority support for trial opportunities at stores recommended and linked by the merchant associations. It will also support efforts to keep the service running after the trial period.
The merchant associations will recommend stores that can participate in the pilot project and support their participation. They will publicise the pilot project internally and externally. They will also take part jointly in developing business models related to small merchants' digital transformation and running on-site pilots.
Inswave plans to present a standard model for small merchants' digital transformation by combining its digital asset technology with actual commerce, based on pilot experience gained in two commercial districts with different characteristics.
Inswave CEO Se-ryong Eo (어세룡) said the company will raise the platform's completeness by testing its digital asset-based gift certificate rights verification platform in actual commercial districts and developing it into a service that both shop owners and consumers can trust to use safely and transparently. He said it will use the pilots in the two districts as a springboard to expand into a shared-growth digital transformation model in which more small merchants can grow together.
