Selectstar, an AI data and reliability evaluation specialist, said on Aug. 3 it passed a technology assessment for a Kosdaq listing under the technology special listing track.
Based on the result, Selectstar plans to proceed with its initial public offering process with lead manager Daishin Securities and apply for preliminary listing review within the year.
The technology assessment covered “data and evaluation technology to secure AI reliability”. The technology creates and verifies data needed for AI training and performance improvements and evaluates model performance and safety.
Based on this, Selectstar operates the Datumo service, which designs and builds training and evaluation data tailored to companies’ AI development and adoption goals. It also runs the Datumo platform, which supports everything from generating evaluation data to performance and safety evaluation.
The Datumo platform supports companies in directly evaluating and managing AI models and services, and it also offers an on-premises option. It supports AI training data building and the establishment of evaluation standards, performance and safety evaluation, red teaming and vulnerability analysis.
Selectstar supplied AI reliability evaluation solutions to the finance and public sectors, including Shinhan Bank, Woori Bank, NH NongHyup Bank and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. Overseas, it supplies AI training data to global companies.
The company is also participating in the government’s “building an independent AI foundation model” project as part of an SK Telecom consortium, where it is responsible for data building and model reliability evaluation.
It plans to expand the scope of its evaluation technology to areas including multimodal, agentic AI and physical AI. It also plans to push into overseas markets such as Japan and the United States.
Selectstar CEO Se-yeop Kim (김세엽) said, “Passing this technology assessment is the result of our AI data and reliability evaluation technology and business achievements accumulated so far being recognized.” He added, “Through the IPO, we will grow into a company that provides data and evaluation technology needed across the entire AI lifecycle.”
