Corporate cryptocurrency holders are actively using Ethereum staking as a way to generate income, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday.
Sharplink Gaming earned 10,657 ETH, worth $33 million, from staking over seven months and recently staked an additional $170 million worth of Ethereum, it said.
Sharplink has staked a total of 864,840 ETH.
Sharplink said it is maintaining "100 percent ETH, 100 percent staking" and highlighted a long-term income strategy through staking. Bitmine Immersion Technologies has also staked 936,512 ETH, worth $2.87 billion, as corporate cryptocurrency staking spreads. Institutional participation is also increasing, with Morgan Stanley applying for a spot Ethereum ETF and targeting staking income.
