[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] JobKorea, an AI and data-based HR tech platform operated by Workspier, said on Sunday it released an analysis of companies' AI hiring trends by industry this year.
JobKorea's survey showed the number of job postings registered from January to May with the keyword "AI" came close to 15,000. That was up 70 percent from a year earlier, the highest figure on record.
That was more than seven times the growth rate compared with a 10 percent increase in the total number of job postings over the same period. Demand for AI talent was also pronounced in the entry-level hiring market. The number of entry-level job postings with the AI keyword rose about 80 percent from a year earlier.
This year, the number of AI keyword job postings increased from a year earlier in 10 of 11 industries. By growth rate, education led at 185 percent, followed by media and advertising at 154 percent, culture, arts and design at 139 percent, healthcare and pharmaceuticals at 123 percent, and institutions and associations at 116 percent. By total number of AI postings, the most were in IT and telecommunications, followed by manufacturing and production, services, media and advertising, and education.
A JobKorea official said demand for related talent appeared to have risen as the education industry moved to expand AI-based learning services and digital education content. The official added that the use of AI was also expanding across various roles in other job categories, including content production, research and development, and data analysis.
