KT said on June 19 its youth board, Blueboard, will begin full-scale activities to spread the company’s core value of KT Professionalism.
Blueboard is KT’s youth board, which the company has operated since 2001 for 26 years. It improves organisational culture and pushes future change based on the voices of young employees in their 20s and 30s. KT selected a total of 64 employees in their 20s and 30s as the 2026 Blueboard and held a launch ceremony on June 18.
This year’s Blueboard will focus on clearly informing employees of the meaning of the core value so they can empathise with and put KT Professionalism into practice. Blueboard members will run core-value practice programmes in every department nationwide through an internal communications programme called Sotong Meeting. They will also carry out work-method improvement activities that can be applied in each department.
Lee Jung-woo (이정우), head of KT’s ESG promotion unit and an executive director, said, "Blueboard is a young organisation that can best understand and practise KT Professionalism." He added, "I expect it will play an important role in ensuring a culture takes root companywide in which people deliver results responsibly based on customers first, respect for colleagues and professionalism."
