Microsoft said on Tuesday it will officially launch the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, which provide an improved AI experience, in South Korea and other markets.

The company said the two new Surface models are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 processor. Users can use AI across on-device AI that runs on the device and the cloud.

The Surface Pro is a 2-in-1 form factor that can switch freely between a tablet and a laptop in a single device. It supports all Windows features, enabling everything from sketching and note-taking to professional desktop work. The new Surface Pro boosts graphics performance by up to 53 percent from the previous model and offers battery life of up to 15.5 hours.

The new Surface Pro comes in Platinum and Black. Prices start at 2,499,000 won.

The Surface Laptop has a slim, premium design and graphics performance is up to 58 percent higher than the previous generation. With long battery life, it can be used all day. The 13.8-inch model lasts up to 20 hours, and the 15-inch model up to 19 hours.

The Surface Laptop is released in two display sizes, 13.8 inches and 15 inches. In South Korea, both the 13.8-inch and 15-inch devices are available in Platinum and Black. Prices start at 2,599,000 won.

Jiho Park (박지호), Surface category manager at Microsoft Korea, said, "AI has become a core tool in everyday life, and future AI PCs must deliver a workflow that moves freely between local and cloud depending on the task, from simple work to creative and business projects that require high-performance computing." He added, "Built on the latest chipset, the new Surface will offer the highest-ever level of AI performance and a flexible user experience so users can run AI tasks in the most optimal environment."
