Nexthus has moved to expand a next-generation platform ecosystem that uses artificial intelligence to let anyone easily create a vast world beyond the limits of existing metaverses that have remained focused on simple chatbot conversations or avatar decoration.
Nexthus said on June 15 it is recruiting creators to lead the ecosystem of its AI metaverse platform, STAGE. The recruitment is a full-fledged step to draw observers who passively consumed content into becoming leading creators of world-building.
STAGE is a creation platform in which multiple characters, places and events interact organically, going beyond one-dimensional conversations with a single AI character. It places AI technology at the forefront to sharply lower barriers to creation. If users enter a few lines of ideas in text such as background settings, characters and key events, AI automatically generates characters' personalities and speech styles, relationships between figures and location-specific events. That means anyone can create a playable world without complex coding knowledge.
Nexthus is aiming for an open ecosystem in which other users directly enter the worlds built by creators and expand the story by creating the next scenes. For that, it also plans to introduce in stages a STAGE Store feature that smoothly supports fandom operations and content distribution.
Jang Hyun-kuk (장현국), chief executive of Nexthus, said, "In STAGE, you can become anything, from the protagonist of a novel or film, a hero in a game, an NPC, or even a completely new being no one has imagined." He added, "We will build a new creative ecosystem in which anyone can easily create their own world and the world expands depending on users' choices and responses."
He said, "The metaverse is not a space where you are confined to a small avatar that resembles the real me," and stressed, "Being able to become anything, that is the true meaning of the metaverse."
