SentBe wins top-tier international standard for payment data security

SentBe has strengthened its ability to protect payment data by securing the top grade of PCI-DSS, a global international standard for payment card data security, for a third consecutive year.

SentBe said on May 14 it secured Level 1 certification, the highest grade under PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), for a third straight year.

After acquiring PCI-DSS v4.0 certification in 2024, it has maintained the certification through annual external audits. This year it also obtained PCI-DSS v4.0.1 certification, the latest version with strengthened security requirements.

PCI-DSS is an international security standard jointly operated by global card brands such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express. It is used as a key financial industry security certification to prevent card data leaks and fraudulent use.

Choi Sung-wook (최성욱), SentBe's chief executive, said, "Earning PCI-DSS certification for three consecutive years has once again been recognised as proof that we are safely protecting customers' payment data in line with global standards." He added, "We will continue to invest in and advance our security infrastructure to become a fintech company trusted by both customers and partner firms."
