Nol Universe said on Tuesday it has revamped the main home screen of its leisure platform NOL. It redesigned the entry structure depending on usage purposes such as travel and performances and exhibitions, and expanded personalization features.

The key change is the creation of a ticket tab. Travel content and performance and exhibition content, previously grouped together on the home screen, have been separated into dedicated tabs so users can move directly to the service they want depending on their purpose. With clearer paths between travel and leisure services, the exploration stage is expected to shrink, the company said.

Personalization features have also been expanded. Personalization technology has been applied to recommended phrases in the search bar and promotion banners to display content reflecting each user's interests and usage patterns. It also introduced a new personalized widget that prioritises benefits with higher response rates.

Benefits and promotion information has been consolidated into separate tabs. The newly created benefits tab and special-price tab provide integrated discount and promotion information that had been scattered across categories. The structure has changed so users do not need to browse multiple categories to find benefit information. NOL will continue to expand hyper-personalised services that advance user-specific content recommendations based on leisure expertise and big data, the company said.

A Nol Universe official said, "This main home revamp focused on helping customers more conveniently discover leisure experiences that fit them when they open the NOL app." The official added, "We plan to continue providing a user experience that encompasses all joy in customers' daily lives by strengthening personalization technology and service connectivity."
