KB Kookmin Bank held a handover ceremony for its KB laptop support programme for newly admitted disabled university students on May 11 at Irum Hall of the Irum Center in Yeongdeungpo district, Seoul, and delivered the latest-model laptops to disabled young university students, it said on Tuesday.

The programme was designed to support stable university life and future preparation for disabled young university students who face academic difficulties due to financial burdens and limited access to information.

KB Kookmin Bank has continued the laptop support programme for newly admitted disabled university students with the Korea Federation of Organizations of the Disabled since 2009.

This year, it supported 132 newly admitted disabled university students with the latest-model laptops, bringing the cumulative total to 2,289. It also provided digital learning assistive devices tailored to disability type and study environment to improve learning convenience and accessibility.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said the bank will continue its social contribution activities to support the growth of future generations and the practice of inclusive finance.
