LG Uplus is running a promotion via its subscription platform Udok offering discounts on Tving.

LG Uplus said on May 6 it is launching the promotion for new customers who sign up for the double-streaming annual pass that combines Netflix and YouTube Premium.

Customers who newly sign up on Udok for the double-streaming annual pass (Netflix plus YouTube Premium) will receive a 3,000 won monthly discount coupon for Tving for 12 months. The company said a single promotion provides benefits for three major online video services, including Netflix, YouTube Premium and Tving.

The promotion runs through June 30. LG Uplus said it lowered the burden for customers who frequently consume content or use multiple OTT services.

Udok is a subscription platform that allows users to access services including OTT, content, shopping and everyday services in one place. The double-streaming annual pass costs 18,900 won per month for Netflix and YouTube Premium. Customers with a VIP or higher membership tier can use it for 14,900 won per month.

Cho Yong-sung (조용성), head of partnership business at LG Uplus and an executive director, said, "We will continue to expand subscription products that combine with telecommunications to raise the value of customers' daily lives."
