Woori Investment Securities said on Thursday that its CEO Nam Gi-cheon (남기천) has joined a relay campaign to eradicate illegal gambling among teenagers.
The campaign began in 2024 under the supervision of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and is being carried out in relay form across various sectors.
Nam took part after being nominated by Choi Seung-jae (최승재), CEO of Woori Asset Management, and nominated Shin Ho-chul (신호철), CEO of Kakao Pay Securities, as the next participant.
“Our society should step up to protect teenagers who will lead the future of Korean finance from illegal gambling,” Nam said. “Woori Investment Securities will contribute to spreading a sound financial culture through efforts such as improving the next generation’s proper financial awareness and providing financial education,” he said.
