NHN Cloud promoted its cloud infrastructure competitiveness in Japan.

NHN Cloud took part in the IT exhibition "2026 Japan IT Week" held in Tokyo on April 8, the company said on April 9.

Japan has recently been accelerating its push for artificial intelligence transformation, or AX, to address structural problems such as a shrinking population and labour shortages. Against that backdrop, NHN Cloud is putting forward a Japan-tailored cloud strategy.

NHN Cloud has operated a Tokyo region since 2019, providing cloud services that meet data sovereignty and security regulations. At the exhibition, it introduced its experience building a "cloud full stack" proven in South Korea's public and financial markets, along with its ability to provide integrated support across the entire process from infrastructure design to operations. It shared its high-performance graphics processing unit-based artificial intelligence infrastructure service, or GPUaaS, and industry-specific cloud adoption cases, stressing the feasibility of implementing AX in the Japanese market.

In particular, Innogrid, NHN Cloud's strategic partner, also joined the event to showcase its AI infrastructure operations capabilities. Innogrid shared optimisation measures for corporate AI infrastructure, including integrated operations of multi and hybrid clouds, GPU resource orchestration, and deployment and scaling, monitoring and automation of AI workloads.

Based on NHN Cloud's infrastructure and Innogrid's operations technology, the two companies presented directions for building infrastructure suited to the Japanese market and scaling it efficiently. On the first day of the exhibition on April 8, many officials from local companies and partner firms visited the joint booth and held consultations, the company said.

NHN Cloud also supplies Japan-optimised AX solutions in cooperation with its local technology-focused subsidiary, NHN Techorus. It plans to combine NHN Cloud's GPU infrastructure capabilities with NHN Techorus' local network and managed service provider capabilities. It also plans to take the lead in serving as a bridgehead to help South Korean IT companies enter the Japanese market.

Kim Dong-hoon (김동훈), chief executive of NHN Cloud, said, "Through this exhibition, we were able to confirm at the same time the Japanese market's strong demand for AX and NHN Cloud's competitiveness." He added, "We will strengthen our position in the Japanese market and act as a supporter for capable South Korean companies."
