Nexon opened Maple Island on the 3rd in collaboration with Lotte World, creating a MapleStory intellectual property (IP)-themed space of about 2,000 square meters at Magic Island, an outdoor zone of Lotte World Adventure in Jamsil, Seoul.

Maple Island is a permanent story-themed park designed to let visitors experience the MapleStory universe in real life. It operates attractions featuring regional settings, monsters and rides such as Henesys, Ludibrium and Arcana.

The site offers four attractions in total. They include three new rides - the Stone Express roller coaster, Arcana Ride and Eos Tower - as well as the existing Gyro Spin attraction with a renewed concept.

The Maple Store sells goods including an Eos Tower drink bottle, a Stone Express Pink Bean keyring, a Pink Bean ball cap and a White Sand Rabbit ball cap. Maple Sweets offers food and drinks including Red Potion, Blue Potion and Pink Bean sundae.

Nexon and Lotte World have been running MapleStory in Lotte World, a seasonal festival that fills Lotte World Adventure with MapleStory IP, since March 14.

The collaboration will run for about three months through June 14. It plans to offer visitors a character-linked experience zone, Magic Castle mapping and a parade.
