Bithumb posts 163.5 billion won operating profit in 2025, second straight year in the black

Bithumb said in a filing on Monday that its 2025 business report showed annual revenue of 651.3 billion won and operating profit of 163.5 billion won.

Revenue rose 31.2 percent and operating profit gained 22.3 percent from a year earlier, extending a second straight year in the black after 2024. Net profit, however, fell 51.8 percent to 78.0 billion won from 161.9 billion won.

Bithumb analysed the main factors behind the previous year's performance improvement as favourable market sentiment, including expectations for U.S. President Trump's pro-digital asset policies and bitcoin hitting new record highs.

It said it plans to ensure regulatory compliance and stable service operations this year as changes in the institutional environment are expected, including the enactment of the Digital Assets Basic Act and the opening of the corporate market.

A Bithumb official said, "2026 will see us seek new business opportunities amid the trend toward institutionalisation, while continuing stable growth through new service development and improvements in user convenience."
