Eric Trump (에릭 트럼프), U.S. President Donald Trump's second son, highlighted bitcoin's potential and reiterated his long-held view that its price would reach $1 million.

On Feb. 19, The Crypto Basic, a blockchain media outlet, reported that Eric Trump said, "Bitcoin is an asset with greater growth potential than traditional finance," and added that "short-term volatility is part of innovation."

Eric Trump said his family became more focused on cryptocurrencies because they were excluded from the traditional financial system. He stressed that "this means more than a simple investment." Bitcoin was around $66,742, down 47 percent from its high of $126,080 recorded on Oct. 6, 2025.

Donald Trump Jr (도널드 트럼프 주니어), President Trump's eldest son, strongly criticised the existing financial system and made clear his support for cryptocurrencies. He claimed that "in early 2021, banks closed hundreds of accounts linked to the Trump family," and said it was due to political pressure and that the experience accelerated a shift to cryptocurrencies.
