Wemix, a crypto asset issued by the Wemix Foundation, has been listed on Philippine crypto exchange Coins, it said on March 17. Deposits and withdrawals are available from that day.
Coins is the Philippines' largest crypto exchange, with more than 18 million members. It has obtained official licenses from the Philippine central bank, including for virtual asset service provision (VASP) and electronic money issuance (EMI). It aims to be an all-in-one financial platform spanning traditional finance and crypto assets.
This marks the first time Wemix has been officially listed on a Philippine exchange. The listing allows direct trading of Wemix in the local currency peso (PHP), improving Philippine users' access to the Wemix ecosystem and convenience.
A link-up is expected in particular with the global version of blockchain game Legend of YMIR, launched in October last year. Philippine user participation is the most active among the countries where the global version is serviced, and the company expects the listing to help accelerate inflows of new local users and invigorate the in-game economy.
The foundation said, "We are continuing to push listings on major overseas exchanges to expand the Wemix ecosystem."
