Crypto.com said on March 17 it signed a partnership with KG Inicis, a payment gateway and value-added network operator, and will begin supporting digital asset payments through Crypto.com Pay for foreign visitors to South Korea.

With the companies linking their payment systems, foreigners visiting South Korea will be able to pay for various goods and services with digital assets. Overseas users will also be able to pay with digital assets on K-commerce platforms.

Both merchants and users can benefit from faster and cheaper payment solutions by using Crypto.com Pay. Merchants will receive immediate settlement of payment proceeds in fiat currency or digital assets, while users will gain greater flexibility in how they pay.

Eric Anziani (에릭 안지아니), Crypto.com's president and chief operating officer, said, "Providing more flexibility and accessibility as to when and how to use digital assets is one of Crypto.com's core missions, and we hope to expand this partnership so it can help users, KG Inicis merchants and South Korea's tourism industry."
