Shinhan Investment & Securities said on March 11 that its CEO Lee Seon-hoon (이선훈) joined a relay campaign led by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to eradicate illegal youth gambling.
The campaign is a society-wide movement launched by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to raise awareness of the risks of illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers, which has surged recently, and to prevent gambling-related crime.
Leaders from various fields post a photo carrying the message, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers is a fraudulent crime you can never win," and nominate the next participant.
Lee nominated Park Chang-hoon (박창훈), head of Shinhan Card, and Kim Byung-chul (김병철), CEO of Hanyang Securities, as the next participants.
Lee said adolescence is an important period for forming proper values. He said he would take the lead in protecting teenagers from illegal gambling and helping them develop healthy investment habits through the campaign.
