Pump.fun is acquiring cryptocurrency trading terminal Vypr, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday.

Vypr will stop operating as an independent service and move its core functions to the Pump.fun terminal.

The acquisition is part of Pump.fun’s strategy to integrate trading workflows as memecoin activity declines. In October last year, Pump.fun acquired trading terminal Padre and rebranded it as a terminal. In January this year, it also expanded investment, including by holding a $3 million hackathon supporting projects beyond cryptocurrencies.

The memecoin market continues to decline. Pump.fun posted monthly revenue of $137 million in January last year, but this year it fell 77 percent to $31 million. Memecoin market capitalisation exceeded $100 billion as of December 2024, but has now shrunk 72 percent to about $28 billion.
