Upbit, an official sponsor of the national team, Team Korea, will run a cheering campaign for the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics, it said on Monday.
Upbit released a national team cheering campaign video on its official YouTube channel on Feb. 2. It previously released a new brand campaign on its official YouTube channel on Jan. 23 featuring figure skater Cha Jun-hwan (차준환).
In connection with this, Upbit plans to deliver bitcoin worth 100 million won to the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee as a show of support at the Korea House in Milan on Feb. 5 local time to help foster youth development in winter sports in South Korea.
Upbit also plans to continue cheering on national team athletes through various marketing activities, including running Olympic-themed events in the Upbit app during the Olympics, which begin with the opening ceremony on Feb. 6 local time and run for 17 days.
An Upbit official said, "We planned this campaign video to convey our support for all South Korean national team athletes challenging themselves on the world's biggest stage, the Winter Olympics."
