Ondo Finance will tokenise BitGo shares so they can be traded on blockchain at the same time as the stock lists on the New York Stock Exchange, CoinDesk reported on Thursday.
Ondo plans to enable trading of tokenised shares on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain so global investors can quickly access BitGo shares.
This would allow investors to buy BitGo shares using stablecoins without a traditional brokerage account. BitGo provides cryptocurrency custody and payment infrastructure.
Ondo Global Markets has tokenised and offered major U.S. stocks and ETFs since September and currently manages $466 million in assets. Its cumulative trading volume stands at $6.4 billion.
