According to blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic on Feb. 28 local time, XRP has fallen 26 percent since early 2026 and is trading at $1.36. That is 62 percent below its peak of $3.6 in July 2025.

As the broader cryptocurrency market trends lower, experts forecast that the current correction is part of a normal market cycle and that a rebound is possible by year-end. Amid the uncertainty, the three major artificial intelligence models predicted XRP's price in 2026.

Google Gemini made a two-stage forecast for XRP in 2026, considering regulation, institutional demand and use of the XRP Ledger. It expects the price to move between $1.15 and $1.5 in the first and second quarters, and between $2.8 and $3.5 in the third and fourth quarters, setting a year-end target of $3.15. It also analysed that if the U.S. Federal Reserve cuts rates, inflows into XRP are possible, but stablecoin competition and regulatory delays could act as downward pressure.

ChatGPT assessed that XRP's decline is part of a market cycle rather than a project-specific problem. It expects an end-2026 price of $1.8 to $2.4 in a base scenario, $3 to $4.2 if liquidity improves, and $0.95 to $1.3 if declines persist, and forecast that the year-end level would be around $2.10 to $2.60.

Grok analysed that XRP is likely to recover as regulatory issues are resolved, exchange-traded funds are introduced and cross-border payment use increases. It said XRP ETFs drew $1.3 billion in inflows from late 2025 and is expected to grow further if additional approvals are granted. It also mentioned the possibility that XRP could take a 2 to 5 percent share of the $10 trillion global payments market.

Grok also forecast an end-2026 XRP price of $0.80 to $1.10 with a 30 percent probability, $2.00 to $3.50 with a 50 percent probability, and $5.00 to $8.00 with a 20 percent probability. It expects the year-end level to be around $3.20.
