JTX, a Solana-based trading app operated by Jito, plans to launch a mobile app and add perpetual futures trading this winter, The Block reported on Oct. 7.

Brian Smith (브라이언 스미스), head of the Jito Foundation, made the remarks in an interview with The Block's “The Starting Block” at Digital Asset Summit 2026 Asia, the report said. JTX will also add stock features within 2 weeks.

"I think we will integrate perpetual futures this winter," Smith said. "For now, there is a lot of room to differentiate in spot trading, so we are spending time on that."

JTX launched in July as a self-custody trading app. Users can trade spot cbBTC, SOL, HYPE and meme coins, as well as tokenised stocks and ETFs. JTX charges a fee on each trade. Of the fee revenue, 80 percent is sent to the Jito DAO to buy back and burn JTO tokens, and 20 percent is given to referrers.

Smith introduced JTX as “a Robinhood that anyone can use.”

On the perpetual futures market, he acknowledged that Solana “has a long way to go.” He said Hyperliquid has brought traders from centralised exchanges on-chain, but stressed that Solana is strong in spot trading.
