[DigitalToday reporter Yoonseo Lee] Long-term price forecasts for XRP in 2029 to 2030 are split, ranging from below $5 to $28 and as high as $1,000.
On the 29th (local time), blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that the gap widened as institutional reports, web-based prediction models and expectations in the X (formerly Twitter) community moved on different assumptions.
Currently available web-based forecasts are generally conservative. PrimeXBT put XRP at about $1.77 to $3.26 in 2029, with an average of $2.31. Changelly projected $1.67 to $5.87 in 2029, averaging $2.92. CryptoNews broke it down into a bearish scenario of $0.65 to $1.30, a base scenario of $1.60 to $2.80, and a bullish scenario of $4.50 to $7.
By 2030, the range widens further. DappRadar put XRP at about $2.26. PrimeXBT projected $2.57 to $4.58, with an average of $3.57. Changelly forecast an average of $5.18 in 2030, with a range of $3.94 to $5.85. CryptoTimes set a base scenario of $4 to $7 and a bullish scenario of $10 to $15. Mudrex put bearish, base and bullish scenarios for 2030 at $3, $8 and $28, respectively.
Among institutional forecasts, the highest figure came from Standard Chartered. It projected XRP could reach $19.60 in 2029 and $28 in 2030. It said the scenario is based on assumptions that expanding institutional adoption, regulatory progress and ETF-related demand strengthen further over the remaining decade.
The key is differences in assumptions rather than the numbers themselves. Outcomes vary sharply depending on factors such as the pace of XRP adoption, institutional demand, market cycles, the regulatory environment and growth prospects for the XRP Ledger. Conservative models stayed in the low single digits, while high-growth scenarios left room for $20 in 2029 and $28 in 2030.
On X, the gap between institutional forecasts and community forecasts was wider. On the institutional side, Standard Chartered's $28 target for 2030 and Bitwise's 2030 path of $29.32 were widely cited. Bitwise's $6.53 for the end of 2026 and $9.60 for 2027 were also mentioned. As a past document said to have been written by a Ripple board member and a BlackRock executive drew renewed attention, scenarios of XRP reaching $6 to $30 in 2030 are also spreading again.
In contrast, expectations presented by individual investors and the community are spread far more widely. Relatively conservative forecasts put XRP at $3.60, $4.20, $6.25, or around $7 to $11 in 2029 to 2030. Some sceptical views argued that reaching $5 in 2030 would already be high enough. Mid-range bullish views cited $30 to $40, $50 and $100, and one post claimed XRP could trade at $92.59 to $185.19 in 2030.
The most extreme forecast is $1,000. This bullish view, said to be linked to comments about the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) by Dom Kwok (돔 쿽), founder of EasyA, remains a community talking point. Some users argued XRP is more likely to reach $1,000 in 2029 to 2030 than in the next market cycle. Even higher figures surfaced, but forecasts of $3,500 in 2029 or $10,000 in 2028 to 2030 are closer to scenarios that assume extreme expansion in adoption than to general market expectations.
Overall, institutional forecasts cluster around $28 to $30, while broader bullish views are spread widely up to $50 to $185. The $1,000 forecast appears to persist on the back of comments by influential figures combined with community expectations. With significant time remaining until 2029 to 2030, the figures currently presented are better viewed as long-term scenarios reflecting differing assumptions about adoption and market growth than as a consensus target.
