Shinhan Investment Securities is using artificial intelligence to offer a service that summarises and translates in real time key issues for stocks clients hold or watch, as well as disclosures by U.S.-listed companies, strengthening its AI private banker functions.

Shinhan Investment Securities said on Sept. 23 it launched the “How Are My Stocks Today” and “AI Overseas Stock Disclosures” services.

“How Are My Stocks Today” is a service in which AI selects and organises key issues such as reasons for price moves, earnings announcements and weekly news for stocks clients hold or register as watchlist items.

It automatically provides key issues by stock, so investors do not have to search multiple media outlets themselves. It also provides domestic and overseas market information and new updates for stocks recently checked.

“AI Overseas Stock Disclosures” provides real-time translated and summarised disclosures by U.S.-listed companies, including earnings, governance changes and major contracts.

AI analyses the original text and offers “Disclosures at a Glance,” which sums up key points in three lines, as well as a more detailed “AI Summary.” It also supports a link to the original disclosure so investors can check the content themselves.

Shinhan Investment Securities expanded the scope of the service to include disclosures after launching “Earnings Call Live” in August, which provides conference call content from earnings announcements through AI.

It also provides consensus earnings forecasts from global investment banks. This allows users to compare market expectations with actual corporate results, and AI automatically extracts and displays key financial indicators.

A Shinhan Investment Securities official said, “We have expanded the scope of the AI PB service to the search and analysis of domestic and overseas investment information,” adding, “We plan to continue expanding functions that help clients invest.”
